Zhu Rong is a famous fire god in the ancient myth system of China,and Zuoquan County in Shanxi Province is one of the important cultural heritage sites of Zhu Rong legend.This paper takes the Zhu Rong myth and legend culture of Zuoquan County as the research object,applies the theories of folk literature and art,folk culture and myth memory and cultural construction,and adopts the methods of combining field investigation and literature research,diachronic research and synchronic research,starting from the relationship among the Zhu Rong Temple in the north of Zuoquan County,the Zhu Rong legend and the history and culture of Zuoquan County.It is discussed layer by layer from "Zhu Rong Temple","Zhu Rong" and "Fire".From the geographical and ecological space of Zuoquan County to the cultural exhibition space of Zhu Rong myth,and then to the simplification and popularization of this god’s functions and ceremonies,the group has made multi-dimensional interpretation of mythology,ethnic origin and festival ceremony.Based on the deep description of the local knowledge system,this paper interprets the memory logic of myths,explores the internal mechanism and driving force of the inheritance and development of the Zhu Rong legend culture,analyzes the current memory function and construction significance of Zhu Rong which as a local cultural resource,and focuses on the future development of Zhu Rong culture.This paper is composed of introduction,four chapters of main body,references and appendixes,about 120000 words in total.The first chapter outlines the natural context and cultural form of Zhu Rong myth in Zuoquan County---the field investigation point.This section focuses on its natural environment and human ecology(including terrain,climate,resources,history,population,culture,etc.),so as to master the soil for the survival of the myth macroscopically.The second chapter focuses on Zhu Rong Temple,discussing its historical changes when it was the main space of myths and legends.Taking time as a clue,the article divided the two threads of "Heroic Sage King" historical mentality and "Oral ethnography" historical mentality,presenting the historical memory of the multitude and their evolving cultural psychology to Zhu Rong Temple in different periods.The third chapter deepens from the space center to the legend center,and analyzes Zhu Rong’s multiple identities in Zuoquan County.Relying on the literature and local historical memory,the evolution law of the deity of gradually popular belief and pedigree is sorted out,and multi-level memory forms and belief patterns are displayed.Further explore the generalization of memorial elements from "Zhu Rong" to "fire",and discuss that fire,as a ritual token of Zhu Rong belief,is gradually radiated under the influence of history,and becomes an indispensable spiritual foundation in the daily life,social organization and festival ceremony of the people in the region according to local conditions.The forth chapter is a summary chapter,which discusses the forgetting and reconstruction of Zhu Rong cultural symbols in Zuoquan County.After the cultural renewal of the old revolutionary base areas,the people’s memory inheritance of Zhu Rong and Zhu Rong Temple has been layered,and towards-the-present Zhu Rong has been reshaped and revived as a regional cultural symbol supporting the era background of intangible cultural heritage and folk custom rebuild.The conclusion part elaborates the "infrastructure" function of Zhu Rong’s legend on local memory,and the mutually beneficial relationship between myth memory and cultural construction. |
