An Analysis Of Conceptual Photography And Its Artistic Language From The Perspective Of Feminism

With the rise and spread of the feminist movement,a large number of western female photographers gradually rose in the 1970 s.Besides,a large number of photographic works showing feminist themes were also produced.With the emergence of conceptual photography,feminism gradually became the potential theory used by conceptual photographers to express themselves.When the concepts of women,conceptual photography and feminism are combined,the conceptual photography from the perspective of feminism becomes an integral part of the art field.From self-viewing to self-examination and then to self-assertion,the repressed women strive to fight for their own rights and interests through the means of conceptual photography,break the shackles of Patriarchal society and change the stereotypes of women.This paper aims to clarify the essence of conceptual photography from the perspective of feminism.Furthermore,this paper tries to refine the artistic language of conceptual photography from the perspective of feminism relying on the essence of conceptual photography and discuss the concrete application of creative means in conceptual photography from the perspective of feminism through the analysis of the representative conceptual photography works at home and abroad.Finally,using the knowledge framework obtained from the analysis of this study,this paper explores my own creative practice of conceptual photography from the perspective of feminism.This study firstly combs the emergence of feminist photography and the genesis of conceptual photography from the perspective of history,analyzes the reasons for the integration of feminism and conceptual photography,and examines the nature of conceptual photography from the perspective of development.Secondly,starting from the artistic language of conceptual photography under the feminist perspective,this paper analyzes the language content,function,role and visual presentation form,and further summarizes the expression forms of conceptual photography under the influence of feminism combined with the creation of photographers.Thirdly,it summarizes the creative means of conceptual photography.Finally,by summarizing the conclusions drawn from the above theoretical research,the whole knowledge system is formed,and the core ideas are combined to improve self-creation.The analysis of conceptual photography and its artistic language from the perspective of feminism not only deeply helps to understand the growth of female photographers,but also uses a variety of media and expression techniques to present the connotation of society,change the social neglect and prejudice towards women,and broaden the contents and forms of the field of photography art.
