| Landscape painting has a pivotal position in Chinese painting because it expresses the spiritual world of literati,where literati’s emotions are often integrated into.Many masterpieces are full of transcendent of the world,expressing the feelings of “embracing everything in your heart”,via presenting masters’ emotions and feelings directly through the scenery.The historical development of landscape painting has evolved constantly for a long time,in which the expression of spatial sense is particularly important and has distinctive characteristics.First,it is necessary to establish a spatial dimension,with lofty,flat,and far-reaching artistic techniques for dealing with spatial relations,combined with painting theory and works for analysis.Secondly,the virtual reality and the degree of the portrayal of the scenery in the painting are expressed.In Qian’an County,Songyuan City,Jilin Province,there is a unique geological landscape that consists of crisscrossed and undulating mountains,steep and abrupt walls,and mountains-like mud pillars,known as "mud forest",and also known as "wolf tooth dam" due to its zigzag shape.Qian’an Mud Forest has north-unique characteristics of mountains and rocks in north of China,giving a sense of majesty and towering.The present paper analyzed and summarized the spatial expression of Qian’an Mud Forest paintings,Author’s thinking on landscape painting creation was also inspired by investigating the geological characters of Qian’an Mud Forest.The author painted Qian’an Mud Forest with inspiration from the outstanding expression and painting techniques of famous artists,including Zhou Shen,Xian Gong,Tao Shi.This paper is based on regional characteristics,screen techniques,and the expression of realistic emotions to elaborate,and also it integrates the traditional painting language into its own creation. |
