In the digital age,education,culture and science and technology are highly integrated,and various types and functions of display media emerge in an endless stream,bringing rich cognitive experience to the audience through vivid,intuitive and diversified display methods.As the information transmission tool and media in the display space and display project,the display media can convey information to the audience through vision,sound and text,and shorten the distance between the audience and the display objects,so that the audience can better understand and accept the information.However,most of the domestic display media ignore the research on children in the design,which makes it hard to meet the cognitive needs of different ages and types of children.It is urgent to further improve and optimize to help children participate and learn better.The level of children’s cognitive development is phased,and the design of the display media beyond children’s age and cognition will disrupt the rhythm of children’s learning and increase the difficulty of children’s learning.Therefore,how to design display media,makes the establishment of high quality interaction between display media and children,effectively exchange information,to meet the cognitive needs of children of different ages,so that they harvest pleasant cognitive experience,is the key to this paper.This paper takes display media design as the research goal,and tries to explore the possibility of the innovative design of display media based on the study of children’s cognitive experience theory and the current development of children’s display media design,and tries to explore the possibility of display media innovation design.This paper mainly explores the following three aspects: Firstly,a summary of the design of the display media and an analysis of the design progress of the children’s display media;Secondly,the interpretation of children’s demand for display media design based on the research on related theories of children’s cognitive experience,and clarifies the importance of cognitive experience of children to display media design;Finally,according to the cognitive development characteristics and needs of children,the strategies such as the multi-sensory dimension setting based on the perceptual movement stage,the interesting experience design based on the previous operation stage,the construction of logical reasoning ability based on the specific operation stage and the extended experience design based on the formal operation stage are proposed.The study of this paper aims to help children better understand and accept display information by optimizing the design of display media,so as to promote children’s participation and learning,while providing new ideas and methods for the innovative design of display media,and facilitating the sustainable development of the exhibition sector.
