In the field of bilingualism, psychologists and linguists initially focused on the memory performance of two languages, which includes both words and concepts.Initially, researchers focused more on how words and concepts were stored, whether they could be stored independently or together.According to the current findings, many scholars have found that words and concepts in the two languages are stored hierarchically, that is,they are stored independently, while concepts are stored together. As a unified ethnic language,Korean was formed very early in history. The lexical structure of Korean language consists of three parts:fixed words,Chinese words and foreign words, among which fixed words are the most important component, and Chinese words and foreign words occupy a relatively large proportion. Therefore,in the process of experimental setting, vocabulary was chosen to avoid loanwords in Chinese and Korean.Although considerable achievements have been made in the study of bilingualism, the type of bilingualism, proficiency and cognate will affect the study of bilingualism. Most relevant studies focus on Western languages such as English and France.Domestic studies on Chinese and other languages are mostly other minority languages, and there is still no research on Korean-Chinese bilingualism. It is of great research value because of its close relation and special vocabulary.Three experiments were carried out in this study. In order to ensure the effectiveness of the experiment,40 skilled Korean and Chinese bilingual college students who had passed HSK-4 were selected as subjects in a university.Under the concept determination task condition, this experiment aims to explore whether the Korean-Chinese bilingual representation has a shared concept, and to test the validity of this concept through a mixed two-factor design,i.e.2(language condition: same language and crosslanguage)Ă—2(learning status: learned and unlearned). In this experiment,we will learn Chinese words and check them during the test.In the same language environment,we will use Chinese words, while in different language environment,we will use Korean words, and use Chinese translation equivalents during the test.In this experiment,we put subjects in the situation of biological determination and asked them to quickly decide whether a word was biological or not.We will measure the response time and accuracy of the subjects in the judgment of Chinese single word.In addition,we also set up experiment 2,which has the same experimental design as experiment 1,to explore whether the cross-language long-term repetitive priming effect can be achieved under the condition of word determination task,so as to test whether there is a direct relationship between the two languages. In experiment 3,we explored whether the long-term repeated priming effect across languages occurs when word sense judgment tasks are used during learning and testing.Through this experiment,we were able to examine the effect of word frequency on the memory representation models of bilingual Korean and Chinese learners. The experimental design was the same as experiment 1.The study concluded:(1)The results of experiment 1 showed that bilingual subjects showed significant crosslanguage long-term repetitive priming effect in biological decision-making tasks, indicating that even two words with very different texts expressed similar ideas, which supported the idea of sharing conceptual representation in the current bilingual memory representation research.(2)Experiment 2 confirmed that there was no direct correlation between the bilingual word representations, which is consistent with the current bilingual memory representation research on the sharing of conceptual representations and the separation of lexical representations.(3)Experiment 3 confirms that proficient bilinguals can directly understand the meaning of concepts without using their first language(mother tongue)when dealing with conceptual tasks, which provides strong support for the concept regulation model. |
