Research On The Causes And Countermeasures Of Digital Divide In The Aged Group

With the further intensification of China’s aging population and the development and application of digital technology,the digital divide of the elderly group has become one of the important factors that hinder the elderly group from participating in social development and enjoying the digital dividend.In particular,after the Party proposed "comprehensively promoting the great rejuvenation of the Chinese nation with Chinese-style modernization" at the 20 th National Congress,more attention should be paid to the elderly group,as the main vulnerable group of digital technology,which is difficult to adapt to digital survival,as well as the neglect of the elderly group at the level of digital technology research and development,and the lack of humanistic care system at the social level.This study will first define the relevant concepts of digital divide,and make a comprehensive discussion on the historical deduction and structural analysis of the concept of "digital divide",so as to provide clues for the research of digital divide in the elderly group."Digital divide" is a concept proposed by European and American countries to investigate the ownership of personal computer use when the computer was in the ascendancy,aiming to depict the inequality caused by the difference of information.With the change of social environment and the development and application of digital technology.The concept of "digital divide" has also been expanded and upgraded to more nuanced terms: "access gap","usage gap" and "knowledge gap" define new inequalities brought about by access,use,and access to information.At the same time,from the perspective of historical materialism,it traces the philosophical source of digital technology from the macro dimension,deeply analyzes the relationship between digital technology and people,digital technology and human dignity,and people’s digital survival,and finds several dimensions that need to be paid attention to in the study of digital divide of the elderly group,and provides new ideas for the study of the problem.Secondly,it analyzes the current situation of the digital divide in the elderly group.The digital divide of the elderly group is a systematic problem of "human-technology-society",which needs to be analyzed from the actual situation of China’s aging society and the physical function of the elderly group.Moreover,the real challenges faced by the elderly groups are found through the three gaps of the digital divide: "access gap","use gap" and "knowledge gap".In a word,there are problems in the following aspects: the physical access of the elderly has been greatly improved than in the past,but there are still psychological access barriers and barriers to the use of new equipment;digital literacy and digital skills are the main factors affecting the perception and ease of use of the elderly;most elderly people are difficult to make efficient use of digital technology and still stay in superficial use.Thirdly,considering the value attribute of digital technology,it aims to take into account the positive value and negative value of digital technology,so that its development can maintain a reasonable tension.Digital technology has the value representation of social trust problem,power discipline problem,human freedom and dignity and other basic issues,but at the same time,it has the positive value of collaborative practice,extending cognition,broadening communication and so on.This paper analyzes the causes of the digital divide of the elderly group from the technical level,the subject use level and the social supervision level,interprets the technical demands of the elderly group from the ideological level,the practical behavior level and the ideal level,finds the contradictions and conflicts,and compares the three major changes to bridge the digital divide of the elderly group.Finally,through the advance of moral and ethical norms in technology research and development and practice,pooling the caring force of multiple subjects,and the psychological guidance,skill guidance and ideological guidance of the elderly group to cultivate their digital literacy and digital skills,so as to form a multi-party force and jointly bridge the digital divide of the elderly group.
