The clarinet was introduced into China at the end of the 19 th century and can only be spread in the court.However,in the 1920 s,with the arrival of many Russian musicians in China,the spread of western music was promoted.The establishment of many symphony orchestras promoted the development of clarinet in China.Until the reform and opening up,a new generation of composers created a large number of clarinet works with Chinese characteristics,which also made Chinese clarinet works go international,More and more foreign composers began to pay attention to Chinese culture and create Chinese style clarinet works.The most famous of these is Michel Mangani,an Italian composer.His "Memory from China" is the second Chinese wind clarinet work dedicated to Dong Dejun,director of the Orchestra Department of Zhejiang Conservatory of Music,and has made contributions to the development of the Chinese clarinet.This article takes Michel Mangani’s "Memory from China" as an example to analyze and sort out the composer’s life,composition,music form analysis,performance techniques,creative significance and other aspects,so that more clarinet players can understand Mangani,understand Chinese wind clarinet works,and bring help to clarinet players who play "Memory from China". |
