| This paper aims to explore and expend the lexical metaphor features of Tujia language by using field investigation and existing literature,combined with the cultural characteristics of Tujia language.Based on the basic theory of conceptual metaphor and the methods of language comparison,this paper tries to explore the linguistic and cultural attributes of Tujia Language and Chinese.The main contents of this paper are as follows: The basic theory of lexical metaphor research is expounded.Through field investigation and literature review,the author made statistics on the metaphorical words nature "HEAVEN",metaphorical words of Toponymy and metaphorical words of Human Organs in Tujia language.The author explored the metaphorical mechanism and characteristics of these three metaphorical words respectively,and made a comprehensive analysis of the cognitive psychology of Tujia people.Through comparative study with Chinese metaphorical vocabulary,the similarities and differences of these two kinds of language metaphors are investigated.The full text is divided into the following four parts:Chapter One is the introduction,which briefly introduces the research origin,research object,research status,research significance,research theoretical basis,research methods and corpus sources of the topic.Chapter Two is the metaphor of the core words "HEAVEN(m（?）e35)" in nature of Tujia Language.Through in-depth comparison and analysis with Chinese "heaven" metaphorical word formation,it reveals that there are many similarities and differences in the metaphorical projection of "heaven" in Tujia and Chinese,which reflects Tujia people’s empirical view of life and death,the world view of the unity of heaven and man,and the epistemology of understanding and perceiving the world from a micro perspective.Chapter Three is the metaphor of Toponymy in Tujia language.First of all,the naming methods of Toponymy in Tujia language are described: metaphor and metonymy.According to the author’s field investigation and analysis of literature materials,the author makes statistics on the metaphorical names and their geographical distribution,classifying them according to the metaphorical mechanism of physical similarity and psychological similarity.Based on the three elements of the metaphor of Toponymy in Tujia language: Tenor,Vehicle and Ground.It can be inferred that the cognitive mode of Tujia people is formed based on their daily production and life experience.As a result of this experience,through association and mapping,metaphorical mechanisms occur.Chapter Four is the metaphorical words of Human Organs in Tujia language.The metaphor of human organs is based on the similarity of a feature of two different conceptual domains.Through association,the metaphor process is completed by mapping from the domain of human organs to the domain of entities,from the domain of entities to the domain of human organs,and from the domain of human organs to the domain of abstraction.Comparing the metaphorical words of human organs in Chinese and Tujia Language,there are some differences in language,geographical environment and cognition,and the metaphorical mapping phenomenon of the two is not completely overlapped.Although the source domain of Chinese and Tujia language is different,the target domain is the same.The source domain of both is the same,but the target domain can also be different,and there are even metaphorical phenomena that they are not exactly corresponding or completely vacant.Chapter Five is about the mechanism and characteristics of lexical metaphor in Tujia language.Based on the corpus analysis in the last three chapters,the author compares the similarities and differences of lexical metaphor between Tujia language and Chinese,and then systematically explores the mapping mechanism of lexical metaphor and the characteristics of metaphor in Tujia language.The author puts forward the innovation points and shortcomings of the research,indicating the direction for further research. |
