On The Narrative Art Of Liu Xinglong’s Local Novels

Liu Xinglong is an influential writer in the contemporary Chinese literary circle.He first attracted people’s attention with his novella.Most of his works focus on the living conditions of the people at the bottom of the society,describe the real life in the social transition period,criticize undesirable trends,reveal social contradictions,and show a realistic spirit of facing the current social problems.In the mid and late 1990 s,he began to turn to the creation of full-length novels.These works were different from the popular literary trends of personal body writing and indulging in the fiction of historical fragments.Instead,they returned to the countryside and showed their unique artistic pursuits,which were different from those of many writers.Taking Liu Xinglong’s local novels as the research object,this paper summarizes the narrative art of Liu Xinglong’s local novels by combing through its narrative theme,writing art and practical significance,providing a new idea for the creation practice of local literature in the new era.This paper consists of three chapters.The first chapter summarizes the narrative themes of Liu Xinglong’s local novels.The theme contains the main ideological meaning of the subject matter of the work,which is the commander and soul of the article.The theme of its creation includes three aspects: one is the theme of education.School education educates people by virtue,and cultivates students’ healthy personality while teaching them knowledge;family education enables children to cultivate noble sentiments through parents’ words and deeds;social education alerts students through positive and negative textbooks.The second is the emotional theme.There are two main themes of family affection and love.On the theme of family affection,by comparing the different emotional attitudes of grandparents,parents and grandchildren,the author expresses his infinite regret for the decline of traditional rural society.The love theme also conveys Liu Xinglong’s yearning and call for traditional simple love through the comparison of different people’s emotional attitudes.Third,the theme of ecology.It includes two aspects: showing the harmonious coexistence between man and nature and reflecting on the ecological destruction phenomenon.The second chapter analyzes the narrative art of Liu Xinglong’s local novels.The omniscient narrative perspective enhances the expression effect and enhances the narrative appeal;Based on the skillful use of traditional narrative methods,Liu Xinglong’s novels promote the generation of new literary meanings through the interlacing of multiple clues.In the transformation of linear narrative and non-linear narrative,the author completes the innovation of narrative structure and expresses the pursuit of artistic beauty.The plain narrative language gives vitality and vitality to the text,manifests regional culture and ethnic characteristics through the display of folk sayings,and restores the character in the personalized language narrative.The third chapter expounds the artistic features and significance of Liu Xinglong’s local novels.Based on the background of the change of The Times,this chapter analyzes the current significance of his local novels,including cultural characteristics and their significance,aesthetic characteristics and social characteristics and their significance.The contents of these three aspects jointly reflect Liu Xinglong’s deep understanding and attention to the social reality,and reflect his identification and attachment to the countryside.
