"Brothers in the Village" is a work created by the writer Ju Li based on the actual situation in Xinjiang,which is an artistic summary of social life by the author,depicting life events through the narrator’s language,shaping the image of characters,and expressing the author’s thoughts and feelings,so as to reflect and express social life in art.How to accurately use translation methods and strategies when translating helps readers understand the content and deep content of the work,as well as the social background and real problems of the response,so as to develop the theme of the work.Translators translate their works into Uyghur through translation means,which has a wide influence among the Uyghur masses,and helps all ethnic groups to understand each other,communicate with each other,and learn from each other,so as to promote the common development and unity of all ethnic groups.This paper takes the Uighur translation of "Brothers in the Village" published by Xinjiang People’s Publishing House as the research object,focusing on the research from the aspects of translation methods and translation strategies,and analyzes the translation from multiple perspectives,such as the analysis of relevant translation examples of novels,the problems existing in translation and optimization countermeasures,and the practical significance and value evaluation of translation strategies.Through research,on the one hand,I consolidated my theoretical knowledge and on the other hand,I summarized my translation experience,so that I could combine my theoretical knowledge with translation practice.Conclude your studies at postgraduate level while also laying the groundwork for the next stage of research and development.The full text consists of six chapters.The first chapter describes the language features of the novel translation,including localization,life and reality.Chapter two Methods and techniques of novel translation are divided into two parts: literal translation,free translation and transliteration,and translation techniques including additional translation,subtraction translation,co-translation,modification and reverse translation.Chapter three: The translation strategies of novels are divided into domestication and foreignization.The fourth chapter focuses on the practical application of translation strategies in the novel to summarize the translation examples,and analyzes the translation of other words,culture-loaded words,political words and idioms.The fifth chapter summarizes and concludes the translation problems such as missing translation,mistranslation and dead translation,and proposes corresponding solutions to avoid missing translation by combining the context,avoiding mistranslation by using accurate words,and avoiding dead translation by understanding the full text.Finally,in the concluding part,the main points of the article are put forward,and good translation research is inseparable from theoretical knowledge and translation practice.In the translation process,flexible selection of translation methods and strategies,and summary of translation experience through continuous translation practice,in order to fully grasp and enrich theoretical knowledge;At the same time,rich theoretical knowledge also provides corresponding theoretical support for translation practice.Theoretical knowledge and translation practice are interconnected and interact to improve our translation capabilities.Therefore,in order to do a good job in translation research,we must master the theoretical knowledge for translation practice and summarize the experience of translation practice in order to better carry out translation research.
