His novels focus on the major changes in China’s social development, writing about the reality and fate of many classes from the period of comprehensive socialism construction to the new period of reform and opening up,displaying a kind of realism that exposes the shortcomings and promotes the noble, focuses on the present and pursues the future. The paper is an attempt to clarify the realistic tone of Han Naiyin’s novel. The thesis outlines the history of realism in Han Naiyin’s novels against the background of the significance of realist literature in today’s social and artistic contexts, and then explores the social significance and artistic value of Han Naiyin’s fictional realism in terms of its three dimensions of expression, value orientation, and artistic expression. The value orientation of Han Naiyin’s fictional realism is explained from three perspectives: national critique, humanistic concern, and personal value pursuit, and finally, the artistic expression of Han Naiyin’s fictional realism is analyzed in terms of narrative style, expression, and language characteristics. On the whole, the realistic writing in Han Naiyin’s novels not only demonstrates the creative concept of "authenticity" of realism well, but also fully interprets the critical spirit and humanistic concern of realistic novels, which has strong practical significance and artistic value.Based on the current social context, exploring Han Naiyin’s fictional creations can not only rediscover the value and significance of Han Naiyin’s novels, but also awaken contemporary people’s reflective consciousness through literature’s reflection of reality, and provide us with some positive inspiration for rational understanding of the relationship between literature and reality.
