The Study On The Generation Mechanism Of Modern Chinese The Agent-Object Clause From The Perspective Of Cognitive Linguistics

The Agent-Object clause that deviates from SVO is a "special group" in modern Chinese.This research,which spans two centuries,still continues today,from "defining description" to "explanation",from traditional structure to "three planes",to generative grammar,and to cognitive structure...From outside to inside,from macro to micro,is the mainstream direction of the current research and discussion of practical objects.This paper tries to develop the mechanism of explanation and description with the theories of cognitive linguistics.Our discussion will be specifically divided into three parts: "generative rationale","generative motivation" and "generative process".The first is "generative rationale".That`s the theory and basis of the generation of the sentence.Our content of the discussion is the basis of the formation of the sentence,and to solve the problem of "WHAT".This part mainly uses the "Prototype " theory from cognitive linguistics for analysis and explanation.In our opinion,the non-prototype syntactic semantic structure of "OVS-Patient Predicate Agent" is a combination of two prototype syntactic semantic structures-"SVO-Agent Predicate Patient"-of surface syntax semantic relationship and deep reasoning semantic relationship,so there are Family Resemblances between the Agent-Object clause and the two layers of syntactic semantic structure.Then there is the "generative motivation",which is the motivation and purpose of the generation of the statement.The content of the discussion is the cause of the formation of the statement and solving the problem of "WHY".In this part,the theory of "Reference-Point Model" of cognitive linguistics is mainly uesd to analyze and explaine the clause.We believe that the motivation is the cognitive expression strategy which is from familiar to unfamiliar,from known to unknown,from active to passive,from established to uncertain,in order to achieve the purpose of accurate information transmission and easy understanding.Finally,the "generative process",that is the process and program of the Agent-Object clause.The content of the discussion is the formation model of the Agent-Object clause,and to solve the problem of "HOW".This part mainly borrows the two theories of "Image Schema" and "Conceptual Blending Theory" for analysis and explanation.After we analyze the Image Schema of all kinds of Agent-Object clauses,we can carry out the specific description of the generation process:When two layers of semantic relationship into the input spaces,image words and schema words appear in global generic space;after analysis,two image schemas are put into four local generic spaces;according to the image schemas the image words and schema words are matching in the local generic spaces;and then there is a emergent structure in a local generic space,which is mapping to blending space,the Agent-Object clause is up;finally the coder relay on cognitive expression strategy to make a statement of a Agent-Object sentence.
