Ismail Kadare, born in Albania,is a famous native writer in Albania. As a writer who has won multiple international literary awards, his works span multiple fields, and the themes and explorations of his works extend from Albania,a small country,to various fields of society and culture throughout the world.Cardale utilized various creative forms and techniques to spread his works to Europe,America, and the world, receiving high praise from the literary criticism community. He also successfully joined the ranks of world-renowned writers. The article analyzes the writing phenomena of cross space and cross culture in Kadare’s novels to explore the personal creative psychology behind them and the cultural integration that permeates the works. The article also delves into its profound connotation, combining with the characteristics of cross-regional writing under the postmodern framework. The writing phenomena of cross space and cross culture in Kadare’s novels can be classified as cross-regional writing.According to Liu Denghan’s Cross-Regional Writing of Dual Experience-A History of 20 th Century American Chinese Literature,Cross-regional is not only a geographical meaning, but also national, ethnic, and cultural, thus also a psychological meaning.Cross-regional is a type of dispersion that drifts outward from the mother body.Kadare’s cross-regional writing aims to reshape cultural memory. This article starts with three presentation methods of cross-regional writing to explore the introduction of Kadare’s writing in order to reshape cultural memory.Firstly, from the perspective of physical space, the specific cultural image of the Albanian nation is shaped through the spatial cross domain image of the mountain eagle;Secondly, through the description of diverse death experiences, rational criticism of death is carried out,and a new interpretation of the spirit of death is provided; Finally, the concept of the third space is introduced to explain Kadare’s rebellion against power and his wish for cultural innovation. The stories of Kadare’s novels contain the inheritance and development of Homer’s epic tradition, the rational choice of Kanu Code, the criticism of bloody feuds, and the unique understanding of the commitment system in Albania’s traditional culture, which reflects the writer’s rethinking of his own culture from the perspective of postmodernism in Western Europe on the basis of Albanian cultural identity.Kadare’s creation broke through the limitations of traditional novels, allowing him to introduce the profound themes in his works into a larger and broader world.Through this approach,he constructed a new cultural identity in Albania once again.
