A Study On The Effect Of Enhancing Special Knowledge Teaching On Children’s Latin Dance Learning

Abstract/Summary:
Latin dance is a popular program for children and teenagers.Through learning Latin dance not only can cultivate a skill,but also can cultivate sentiment,refine the will,and shape a beautiful body physique.However,in the teaching and training of Latin dance for children and adolescents,there is a tendency to emphasize the cultivation of dance skills rather than systematic teaching of special knowledge,which is not conducive to children and adolescents’ mastery of movement essentials and their awareness of the significance of promoting physical and mental health.School-age children and adolescents are in the stage of comprehensive knowledge accumulation and physical and mental development.This paper argues that the acquisition of dance skills is a process of learning and growth of special knowledge,and the level of dance is closely related to their own cultural cultivation.In the teaching of Latin dance for children and teenagers,we should strengthen the learning of special knowledge at the same time as the teaching of skills,so as to achieve the goal of improving the learning effect by "knowing what’s right and knowing why".In this paper,we collect and organize the special knowledge closely related to the teaching of Latin dance skills,such as the names of Latin dance movements,the main points of movements,dance styles and the growth stories of outstanding players through literature,expert interviews and questionnaires,and integrate them into the teaching process of children’s Latin dance(Rumba).In order to enable children and adolescents to better master the corresponding special knowledge and adapt to their age characteristics,this paper designs five dimensions of learning content: literacy and writing,reading,composition,oral communication and synthesis.Forty children students(in the third and fourth grade of compulsory primary education)in the Latin dance class of Wuhan Xue Ruishi Art Training School were selected as the subjects of this study,and a three-month teaching experiment was conducted.In order to evaluate the effectiveness of the teaching intervention,three tests were designed through expert certification,including the Latin dance content specific knowledge level test,the learning interest test and the rumba skill level test.All data were compared and analyzed using SPSS24 statistical software.Its main research findings are:1.The teaching of special knowledge combined with Latin dance movement names,movement essentials,dance styles and character stories of outstanding players is consistent with the goal of skill teaching.The five dimensions of learning with the help of literacy and writing,reading,composition,oral communication and integrated learning are operable and have a strong practical application value.2.The results of the Latin dance technical level test showed that,except for no significant differences in balance,line and extended line,and music structure,the body posture,foot technique,Latin movement,skill modeling,rhythm,dance style characteristics,and atmosphere of the subjects in the experimental group were significantly higher than those in the control group,and the enhancement effect was more prominent.It indicates that the cognitive level of students’ professional knowledge is an important factor affecting the progress of dance technique to a certain extent;strengthening the teaching of special knowledge in Latin dance technique instruction is more effective than traditional teaching in improving students’ cognitive level of Latin dance,so as to achieve the goal of improving technique level.3.The experimental group’s level of expertise in five dimensions of Latin dance literacy and writing,reading,composition,oral communication and integrated learning was significantly higher than that of the control group.It indicates that systematically strengthening the learning of language texts such as movement names,movement essentials and dance styles in Latin dance technique instruction helps students deepen their memory and cognition of key points of movements,which is an important factor affecting the progress of dance technique.4.Through the questionnaire test of "Students’ Interest in Learning",the subjects in the experimental group had significant differences in four dimensions of motor participation,positive interest in learning,negative interest in learning and degree of independent learning after the intervention of special knowledge teaching content.It indicates that through the comprehensive language text of the growth stories of outstanding athletes,students can form the power of role models and make the direction of their efforts clearer,which can mobilize a higher degree of sports participation,stimulate learning interest and improve independent learning ability.
