The Study Of Nomadic Culture From The Epic Of Gesar

This thesis mainly uses comparative study,fieldwork,literature analysis and other methods to classify and compare the folk customs reflects in Derge version of<The Great Battle of Huoling > in Gesar Epic,and summarizes the characteristics of Tibetan nomadic culture shows in< The Great Battle of Huoling > from folklore perspective,as a result we found that the Epic has embodies rich Tibetan nomadic culture,mainly features in language,clothing,diet and raising livestock,diversified clothing of nomads,various nomadic production tools,shelters suite for Tibet plateau and nomadic food product.Thesis is divided into three sections,the introduction part describes the research significance and expected results in detail,and then states the research status at home and aboard,researches methods,introduces the scope and text of comparative research.Four chapters compose the main body of this thesis,the nomadic oral culture,basic necessities and animal husbandry methods reflects in Derge version<The war of Huoling> analysis it feature.Finally,through the study of nomadic folk customs,we draw the conclusion that the relationship between Gesar and nomadic tribes,and proved that the nomadic culture of the Tibet Plateau is one of most important culture to displaying and inheriting.
