A Study Of Regional Novels In Liangzhou Of Snow Desert From The Perspective Of Lotman’s "Symbolic Domain"

With the increasing attention paid to the study of "regional literature" in the academic circle,the research of scholars has broadened the connotation and extension of the concept of "regional literature".The adjustment and transformation of the boundary and perspective of "regional literature" in the new context are connected with Lotman’s "symbolic domain" theory.From the perspective of Lotman’s "sign domain" theory,this paper combines the theoretical research of "sign domain" in Lotman’s cultural semiotics with Xue Mo’s works through interdisciplinary research methods and text analysis,and begins to discuss the characteristics of Liangzhou regional culture and the cultural significance highlighted by Liangzhou cultural writing in Xue Mo’s works(mainly taking "Desert Trilogy" as an example).This paper further analyzes the profound influence of Xue Mo’s creation on encouraging western writers to make "their own voice" and stimulating the vitality of western literature creation,in order to inject a trickle into the study of Liangzhou regional literature.Xue Mo,one of the "Eight heroes of Gansu novels",has the unique heterogeneous experience in his works and the symbol that belongs only to western culture and literature.Such literary creation,which tries to communicate literature and culture and texturizes regional culture through the author’s own life experience and understanding of local culture,not only broadens the path of studying local culture.Moreover,it is of special significance to protect some Chinese traditional culture which will soon disappear in the long river of history.At the same time,in today’s striving to tell Chinese stories well and need to constantly promote the spread of Chinese culture,regional works play an irreplaceable role.The Chinese national culture is blooming in a hundred flowers and the culture of various regions is also full of wonders.It is the right time to write and spread the regional culture of Liangzhou.We need to excavate works similar to Liangzhou regional novels in the Snow desert to arouse the enthusiasm of different regions to understand Chinese traditional culture and regional culture,and taste the national spirit contained in the works.
