| Xinbei District is located in the north of Changzhou,and at the junction of the Wu dialect and the Jianghuai Mandarin.Taking the Xinbei Dialect as the research object,this paper uses geolinguistic methods to explore the geographical distribution of the phonetics and vocabulary of the Xinbei Dialect.The paper mainly includes the following parts:1.Introduction.The object,current status,content and significance,the method and investigation process,selection of pronunciators,material sources and symbol descriptions of this study are specifically explained.2.The geographical variations of the phonetics of the Xinbei Dialect.It is mainly explored from the three aspects of tones,initials and finals.In terms of the tone,the geographical distribution of tones in the Xinbei Dialect was analyzed from the system of tone category and specific tone pattern.On the initials,the colloquial and literary pronunciation of Wei微&Ri日&Jian group见系,the merger and disjunction of the Jing精&Zhi知&Zhuang庄&Zhang章group,the confusion of the Ni泥&Lai来,the fricative of affricates,the shedding of Yi疑’s nasal initials,the devoicing of the voiced initials and the voiceless initials reading as the aspirated sounds were discussed.On the finals,the geographical variation phenomena such as the sound value of the main vowel of the Guo果&Jia假&Yu遇&Xie蟹and the Xie蟹&Zhi止’s rounded rhymes,the merger and separation of the Yu鱼&Yu虞rhyme and the Xian咸&Shan山,unrounded Dang宕&Jiang江reading as rounded rhymes,and the the colloquial and literary pronunciation of Geng梗were explored.3.The geographical variations of vocabulary of the Xinbei Dialect.The 179 words surveyed were divided into 6 semantic fields,and then representative words were selected to discuss the geographical distribution of vocabulary.After analyzing a large number of dialect maps,it is found that there is a geographical distribution pattern of southeast-northwest opposition in Xinbei Dialect.4.Conclusion.The main points of this paper are summarized. |
