The combination of poetry and music often creates an atmosphere a unique aesthetic feeling that can be deeply felt by the listener.With the internalization of time,the status of composers and the innovation of music creation techniques,British art songs have adapted some British folk songs into art songs.This article is based on Ralph.Wolf.Williams’ s “The last four songs ” as a research objective,from the perspective of the work’s creative background,music style,composition techniques and music performance,etc.this paper explores and studies the language,style and aesthetic features of English art songs.
