On The Musical Features And Performance Analysis Of Chu Wanghua’s Jasmine Flower Fantasia

Compared with western traditional piano music,China’s piano music has its unique national characteristics,including outstanding features such as rhyme,charm and decoration.China’s national musical instruments have a certain influence on China’s piano music,so China’s piano works have different timbre effects from western traditional piano works.China’s creation of modern piano music,striving for the organic combination of western form and oriental spirit,and constantly exploring the nationality of China’s piano music seems to be the purpose of musicians."Jasmine" is the first China folk song widely circulated in the world.Mr.Chu Wanghua used this theme melody and combined with western modern creative techniques to create this "Jasmine Fantasia" with China national characteristics in 2003.This work has strong national characteristics,whether it is the use of folk song materials or creative techniques.In this paper,by analyzing the creative background and techniques of Fantasia for Jasmine,and combining some western piano works that have innovated and applied the theme melody of Jasmine,I feel the national implication of Fantasia for Jasmine,and analyze the musical characteristics and performance of Fantasia for Jasmine by Chu Wanghua from various angles.
