| Chengdu subway is usually designed with the concept of "one station,one view,one line,one view",which expresses the cultural background and regional culture of the subway line through visual images.Chengdu metro lines are huge and complex,with dense stations,the presentation of metro stations is mostly text-based,lacking in intuitiveness,and the excavation of the regional culture of metro stations is not deep enough,and the graphic design of all metro stations is not perfect,resulting in passengers’ insufficient knowledge of the image characteristics and cultural connotation of metro stations.With the continuous development of China’s transportation construction,new requirements have been put forward for the graphic design of the whole metro stations.Combining the graphic design of metro stations with the regional culture,promoting the function of metro stations and showing the regional culture of the stations,can highlight the cultural heritage of the city and enhance the image of the city.This paper takes the iconic buildings of Chengdu Metro Line 18 stations as the main line,extracts the cultural elements of the stations and their surroundings,and uses modern design techniques to graphically transform and integrate the extracted contents to form a set of design results and cultural derivatives that meet modern aesthetic needs.The design is designed to convey the cultural connotation of the stations of Chengdu Metro Line 18,as well as to visually communicate the regional culture of the city.Firstly,we issued a questionnaire on the current graphic design of "Chengdu Metro Line 18",which led to the issue of visual design and application of the metro in today’s society;then we collected and organized the information of the whole station,the surrounding architecture,and the regional culture,and focused on the iconic buildings of the metro stations and the special buildings around them.Finally,the collected graphic elements are refined to innovate the graphic design of Chengdu Metro Line 18 stations,and the new graphic elements are applied to the design of metro station icons and illustrations of related regional culture to form a complete set of design,and the expressions such as brochures,cultural and creative products and H5 dynamic design are used to promote Chengdu Metro Line 18.In addition to enhancing the functional and cultural value of Chengdu Metro Line 18 stations,the design also enhances passengers’ sense of cultural identity and emotional resonance with the metro stations. |
