There is a linguistic phenomenon of attribute postposition in modern Chinese,such as: I bought a dress without buttons."The one without buttons" is obviously an attribute,but why is it put behind the central word "clothes" ? This special phenomenon of word order attracts our attention,so we study its realization,textual function and motivation.The first chapter is introduction.The introduction mainly describes the significance of this topic and the current research situation,as well as the relevant linguistic theories and data sources used in this paper.The second chapter focuses on the implementation of "the kind of X".This paper defines the dependency clause of "the kind of X",briefly explains its grammatical nature,and analyzes the syntactic and semantic features of "X" and the functions of "de" and "that kind of".The third chapter focuses on the textual function of "the kind of X".By comparing the different textual performances of the synonymous sentence patterns "the kind of X" and "the kind of X",we can better observe the textual functions of the objects discussed in this paper.This chapter mainly analyzes the relational objects,textual functions and whether the "X" is limited or not.The fourth chapter mainly probes into the generation motivation of "the kind of X".This paper discusses what kind of language environment and language characteristics make Chinese form the sentence pattern of this special word order.The fifth chapter is the conclusion,which elaborates the main conclusions of this paper and the problems to be further solved. |
