The Color Research On Enclosed Space Of Horror Films

Horror movies with Closed-space are springing up very fast.The number of great works are endless.As a special form of space,closed space seems to have become the creator’s "habitual technique" and appears in most horror movies.There are too many such films in China,and some of them also performed well at the box office,such as "Far Cry"(2010)," The Death Curse"(2003),"Beijing No.81"(2014),as well as some movie series like "Ghost Blowing Lamp" and The " The Lost Tomb".However,some scholars believe that there are still many deficiencies in the color presentation of the Chinese horror films,and even some color designs have no meanings.This paper attempts to analyze the color modeling characteristics of mature and classic closed space horror films abroad,and explore the possibility of localization,hoping to provide reference for the subsequent creation of our own films.This paper is divided into three parts: introduction,body and conclusion.Start from the perspective of color psychology,it analyzes the unique meaning of the same color in horror films,and then classifies the closed space of horror films by physical connection,finally analyzes them.The research method is mainly based on case analysis,supplemented by comparative analysis method.At last,according to the author’s practice,the above research results will be reflected and verified.
