Writing teaching is an important part of teaching Chinese as a foreign language,which is the focus and difficulty of teaching.At present,the academic research on foreign students’ writing mainly focuses on teaching methods and error analysis,and there is less research on learners’ writing process.In view of this,based on the process writing teaching method and constructivism theory,this study divides the writing process into preparation stage,writing stage and revision stage.Using the methods of questionnaire and text analysis,this paper investigates and studies the use of writing strategies of high and low students in Chinese basic writing class.The results show that:(1)on the whole,the high group uses writing strategies more frequently than the low group in the writing preparation stage,writing stage and revision stage,which shows that the high group students are better at using writing strategies to improve their writing performance.(2)From the perspective of specific strategies,the strategies with higher frequency of use of low groups than high groups are: social strategies in the preparation stage;Replacement strategy in writing stage(replace with blank or symbol),avoidance strategy,mother tongue strategy and time management strategy;Modify the social strategy of the stage.(3)Through the analysis of students’ texts,it is found that in the three stages of the writing process,most of the writing strategies in the high group appear more frequently than those in the low group,indicating that the high group subjects are also better at using writing strategies in actual writing.In addition,different strategies have different manifestations and effects on the text.Some writing strategies can promote Chinese writing,while some writing strategies will affect the level of Chinese writing.Finally,on the basis of the above research conclusions,the author puts forward three-stage writing teaching education.At the same time,taking “Narrative clues” as an example,the author designs the writing strategy into the teaching of the course,hoping that under the teacher’s training and instruction,the students can learn to use the writing strategy correctly and efficiently,and improve their writing achievement.
