Research On Study Of Original Characters In Weng Huidong’s Chaoshan Dialect

Chaoshan Dialect is a research work on Chaoshan dialect written by Weng Huidong,a scholar from Chaozhou in the late Qing Dynasty and the Republic of China.This work is the first work in Chaoshan area to systematically introduces,discusses and studys Chaoshan dialect words.Chaoshan Dialect systematically collects the Chaoshan dialect words in the late Qing Dynasty and the Republic of China,and conducts research,interpretation and analysis of these words.Academically,Chaoshan Dialect has important documentary value for the study of Chinese vocabulary history,Chaoshan dialect words and Chaoshan folk culture.This dissertation takes the study of original characters of Chaoshan Dialect as the object of discussion and research,and takes the conclusion of the study in Chaoshan Dialect as a standpoint to discuss the specific situation and characteristics of the work of Chaoshan Dialect in the study.It focuses on analyzing the methods,means and deficiencies of its work.In addition to the introduction and conclusion,the thesis is divided into five parts.The first part introduces the basic situation of the establishment of Chaoshan Dialect headings and the characteristics of interpretation;the second part discusses the basic situation of literary and colloquial readings of Chinese characters in Chaoshan dialect and its relationship with the original characters of the dialect words;the third part discusses the access of finding original characters combining the specific research and interpretation conclusions;the fourth part discusses the linguistic analysis of Chaoshan Dialect in the work of testing the characters from different perspectives;the fifth part analyzes the types of errors in Chaoshan Dialect in combination with the wrong conclusions.
