Academic emotions are the sum total of different emotions experienced by students in the whole process of learning.It includes the emotions experienced by students after learning of their academic success or failure;emotional experience in class;emotional experience during daily homework;in the preparation stage of the emotional experience.Academic emotion involves all aspects of students’ learning and plays an important role in students’ growth and development.On the basis of the summary of former studies about academic emotions from domestic and overseas,this study selected the students of grade one and grade two in S Secondary Vocational School in Mianyang,which is the research object,and researched the characteristics of English academic emotions of secondary vocational students.After analyzing and discussing the survey results,a set of intervention program was designed to improve the academic mood of secondary vocational students by improving their cognitive motivation,and its effectiveness was verified by empirical research.The results are as follows:(1)Secondary vocational students have richer academic emotional experience,with the highest average score in positive high arousal academic emotional level.(2)There are significant differences in academic emotions of secondary vocational students in gender,grade and different majors.(3)There is a significant correlation between cognitive motivation and academic emotion of secondary vocational students.Cognitive motivation can positively predict positive academic emotion.(4)The self-designed intervention program aimed at improving the negative academic mood of secondary vocational students by improving cognitive motivation,which has certain promoting effect on the academic mood of secondary vocational students.In general,secondary vocational students have richer academic emotional experience,higher overall level and more positive experience,and there are group differences.Cognitive motivation can predict academic mood,and improving academic cognitive motivation of secondary vocational students can promote academic mood to some extent.
