| Based on the contribution of Robert Vickery,a famous American painter in the 20 th century,this paper analyzes the painter’s painting style and language through the background of the painter’s time.Robert Vickery’s work is elegant and poetic,with thought-provoking composition creating elegance,and delicate texture and sparkling light creating poetry.This beauty comes from great skill and a unique perspective.He was praised as "the most skilled tempera painter in the world" by John Kennedy,a reporter of The New York Times.He did not pursue the fashion of avant-garde when the new abstract art in the 1940 s in the United States.He stuck to his realistic painting style and depicted the thinking of the world,life and life.Vickery lived in the era of the rapid rise of the American economy and the transformation of people’s lives.The emergence and rise of various artistic styles enabled Vickery to perceive the changes in life and put this experience into his works.After certain objective and rational processing,the intention expression of the pictures was more fully expressed.Light in painting is not only a realistic painting language,but also an effective means of subjective construction and formal meaning.Through the study of the painter’s painting characteristics,this paper focuses on the study of light expression in the picture,and focuses on the analysis of the emotional expression and form of light in Vickery’s paintings.This paper is divided into four chapters,the first chapter is the introduction,mainly discusses the direction and significance of the topic,research methods and content;The second chapter analyzes the medium of Vickery’s painting and the communication of light in his works.The third chapter starts from the author’s painting creation,the understanding and grasp of the different stages of the picture,the analysis of creation and painting inspiration;Chapter four is the conclusion of my own research and creation of the harvest of the summary and induction. |
