A Comparative Study On The Ci Of Zhang Yuangan And Zhang Xiaoxiang

The change of the Song Dynasty and the turbulent real environment had a great impact on the life,thought and mentality of the literati.A large number of literati with lofty ideals reflected their complex emotions into literature,and chose to write heart songs with Ci.Zhang Yuangan and Zhang Xiaoxing were both famous Ci writer in this period,and they were also called "double jades in the field of Ci".Writers express their political ambitions and heroic qualities in a special social environment through their Ci.Zhang Yuangan and Zhang Xiaoxing were outstanding representatives of the period of change between Song Dynasties.Because both were affected by the Jingkang Rebellion and the demise of the Northern Song Dynasty,it was difficult for writers to have great ambitions in the face of national hatred and family hatred.At the same time,though two writers have similarities,but each one has own unique for their different personality characteristics and aesthetic orientations.Therefore,the comparison can better reflect the social environment and the mental process of the writer.This paper takes their Ci as the research scope,based on the method of comparative research,extensive and mature literature collation results,and compares their words from the aspects of ideological content and artistic characteristics through the method of literature research,the method of close reading of the text,and the method discussing the world by knowing people.The thesis is divided into four chapters.The first chapter introduces the research purpose and significance,the research status,and the research scope and method.The second chapter show Zhang Yuangan and Zhang Xiaoxiang’s life experience and the reasons for the change of the style of words by narrating the life and creation of them.Through the comparability analysis,it provides the basis for the following discussion.The third chapter find out the similarities and differences of ideological content through the classification and induction of Zhang Yuangan’s and Zhang Xiaoxiang’s Ci.The similarity is that they both express concern for the country and the people,and write patriotic feelings;Pin on hope and express the sympathy of friends;expresses the love between men and women,and describes the relationship between confidants.The difference involves three aspects.Zhang Yuangan’s Ci are one of Confucianism and Taoism,while Zhang Xiaoxiang’s Ci cover the three religions;Zhang Yuangan’s words emphasize the subject,while Zhang Xiaoxiang’s words emphasize the object;Zhang Yuangan’s words are intense,while Zhang Xiaoxiang’s words are more subtle.The fourth chapter compares the artistic features of Zhang Yuangan and Zhang Xiaoxiang’s Ci.In terms of similarities,the style is firm and soft,the technique is classic,and the language is graceful and graceful.Differences of them,in terms of style,Zhang Yuangan’s words are sad and vigorous,while Zhang Xiaoxiang’s words are detached and clear.In terms of technique,Zhang Yuangan’s Ci borrow scenes to express his feelings,while Zhang Xiaoxiang’s Ci express his feelings with things.Linguistically,Zhang Yuangan’s Ci are punctuated and qualitative,while Zhang Xiaoxiang’s words are elegant and harmonious.In short,by comparing Ci of Zhang Yuangan and Zhang Xiaoxiang,we can further explore the emotional expression and life dynamics of them,understand the creative background and mentality of the writers,analyze their unique artistic style and expression techniques,deepen the understanding of the writer’s mental journey,it is expected to provide useful research results for future research on similar topics.
