Study Xi Jinping’s Important Statement On Intangible Cultural Heritage

A strong culture leads to a strong nation,a thriving culture results in a thriving country.At present,Chinese civilization is facing the world change unseen in a century.As opportunities and challenges exist simultaneously,we need to proactively respond to the real challenges of Chinese culture in the complex "public opinion field",make great efforts to solve new social contradictions,and contribute Chinese wisdom to the concerted development of all aspects of human society from the perspective of promoting the civilization development of the world.In this regard,General Secretary Xi Jinping has made important remarks on the theoretical and practical issues of why and how to protect intangible cultural heritage.Starting from the five aspects of "forming background","development context","main content","distinctive features" and "value of the times",the paper takes Xi Jinping’s relevant discourses on intangible cultural heritage as the basis,and comprehensively uses the literature research method,comparative analysis method and historical analysis method to systematically carry out the research of these important discussions as a whole.The Marxist view of culture and the discourse of cultural heritage and intangible cultural heritage by the Communist Party of China and leaders after the founding of People’s Republic of China have provided a theoretical basis for Xi Jinping’s important discourse on intangible cultural heritage.Xi Jinping’s political experience in Zhengding,Fujian,Xiamen and other places provides a strong internal impetus for him to pay close attention to intangible cultural heritage.Xi Jinping discussed the historical status,practical value and future development of intangible cultural heritage in detail,clearly answered the questions of "what" and "why" of protecting intangible cultural heritage,and established the overall idea of protecting and inheriting intangible cultural heritage,and specifically implemented goals and ideas in thought,system,materials,science and technology,and mutual learning from foreign exchanges.Xi Jinping’s important discourse on intangible cultural heritage has not only carried out new targets for the promotion of intangible cultural heritage,new requirements for future development,and new interpretation of value concepts,but also has far-reaching theoretical and practical value.
