As one of the important parts of IP operating,the commercial value and potential of "adaptation between game and film" are constantly explored and comes out more patterns of IP management.Many game enterprises such as Tencent,Netease and Perfect World have established their own film and television studios,while lots of film and television giants such as Wanda and Huayi Brothers have also ventured into game industry.The "adaptation between game and film" has been developed more deeply and there are more new attempts in contents,forms and patterns.This paper focuses on the pattern of "adaptation between game and film",selects suspense and mysterious IP,a type with more excellent cases,various forms and new content in practice.Then it picks Detective Chinatown and Target as cases because of their high quality to analysis pattern of adaptation.Firstly,this paper combs the current situation of the relative fields,mysterious game and movie and TV series.Based on the results of questionnaire,it is found that the consumption preferences of the audience have obvious convergence among different cultural products and the product quality is the key factor affecting their attitude,the integrated development between game and film or television has a good audience foundation.Secondly,case Detective Chinatown and Target are selected to analyze their linkage pattern from four aspects: the type and combination of cultural products,the dominant factor resources,the position of IP in management and the time sequence of development.Thirdly,based on in-depth interviews,this paper tries to construct the influence factor model of pattern selection with reference to the structure of selection probability formula and motivation theory.The influence factors are divided into four aspects,policy and market factors are external factors,which affect operator’s expectancy of adaptation.IP and ability of operator are internal factors,affecting the quality of projects.Since product quality is the key to audience’s attitude,internal factors will affect the practitioners’ expectation of valence.Valence and expectancy reflect the reward together,while the financial and intellectual capital pressure correspond to the degree of effort.The two factors jointly affect the choice of mode.Finally,it summarizes "adaptation between game and film" in suspense and mysterious field,and puts forward relevant suggestions in 4 different aspects. |
