The Study On The Influence Of Acculturation Of Sojourn Elderly On Behavioral Intentions

The conflict and adaptation between the original culture of sojourners and the alien culture of sojourn has always been an important topic in sociology and geography.Due to the change of space and cultural background,sojourn elderly are bound to face the dilemma of acculturation,which will have an impact on their psychology and behavior.Based on Berry’s two-dimensional acculturation model,this study takes the sojourn elderly as the object,and selects four typical sojourn and senior care destinations for empirical research.This study uses SPSS and Amos software to process the data to analyze the acculturation strategies of sojourn elderly in the new environment,and further explore the influence mechanism of three different acculturation strategies of separation,assimilation and integration on social anxiety,life satisfaction and behavioral intention.The conclusions are as follows:(1)The degree of acculturation of the sojourn elderly is generally higher,and they are more inclined to adopt integration strategy,followed by assimilation strategy,and finally separation strategy.(2)In the relationship between acculturation and other variables,the separation strategy of the sojourn elderly has a significant positive impact on social anxiety,and a significant negative impact on life satisfaction and behavioral intention;assimilation strategy has no significant effect on social anxiety,but has a significant positive correlation with life satisfaction and behavioral intention;integration strategy has significant negative impact on social anxiety,and has significant positive impact on life satisfaction and behavior intention of the sojourn elderly.(3)Social anxiety and life satisfaction played a mediating role in the effect of separation strategy on behavioral intention;life satisfaction mediates the effect of assimilation strategy on behavioral intention,but social anxiety does not;social anxiety and life satisfaction have significant mediating effect on the effect of integration strategy on behavioral intention.(4)There were significant differences in various variables of social demographic characteristics such as gender,age,place of origin and sojourn experience.According to the research results,this research analyzes the logic and reasons behind the impact mechanism.On the level of the sojourn elderly,it is proposed to adopt cultural integration strategy and strengthen multicultural identity countermeasures and based on the level of sojourn destinations,suggestions are put forward to build a cultural sharing platform,carry out culturally characteristic activities,and improve supporting facilities and services.In order to improve the acculturation level of the sojourn elderly,promote the physical and mental health of the sojourn elderly,improve the reputation and revisit willingness of the sojourn elderly,and promote the healthy and sustainable development of sojourn destinations.
