Chinese national instrumental music has a long history and unique cultural flavor,and it has always been an important part of Chinese civilization.Since the 20 th century,a large number of western music cultures have been introduced into China,which has had a profound impact on the creation and performance of our national instrumental music.At the beginning of the 21 st century,a new form of national instrumental music-new folk music was born.New folk music is a new form of music that is based on the elements of national music,uses the techniques of western popular music arrangement and orchestration to create,or uses Chinese national instruments to play popular songs,and also uses multimedia technology to enrich visual experience when performing.This kind of music form,which is completely different from traditional folk music,has brought the audience a double impact of seeing and hearing.Therefore,new folk music has become popular at home and abroad in a short time.However,due to the lack of cultural heritage,the new folk music soon disappeared in the public’s view,and the development of the new folk music ushered in a turnaround until the emergence of Tiktok and other We Media platforms.Since entering the 21st century,with the progress of science and technology,the world has set off a wave of Internet development,and the We Media era has officially opened.Among a large number of emerging We Media platforms,"Tiktok",with its excellent operation and accurate grasp of the market,has developed into today’s We Media platform covering a full range of cultural and entertainment forms,which not only attracts many talented people who lack opportunities to show,but also brings more kinds of music into the public’s view,including new folk music.After entering the Tiktok platform for development,new folk music has gradually merged with Tiktok,which has not only formed a variety of development forms such as solo and ensemble forms,but also produced a variety of colorful music works and performance styles,which has been recognized by many Tiktok users.In this paper,the author will use literature research,field research and other methods to conduct in-depth and detailed research on the development mode of new folk music in the Tiktok platform,the music and performance characteristics of new folk music in the Tiktok platform,and the impact of Tiktok on the development of new folk music.The article mainly includes five chapters: The first chapter mainly combs the development of new folk music in the Tiktok platform,and lists the promotion means of Tiktok platform for new folk music in detail.The second chapter elaborates the presentation of new folk music on the Tiktok platform from two aspects of performance form and development direction.The third chapter studies the music characteristics of the development of new folk music on the Tiktok platform from two aspects of music selection basis and music adaptation,and analyzes the works of some mature new folk music bloggers in Tiktok.The fourth chapter discusses the performance characteristics of new folk music in the development of Tiktok platform from the performance and visual aspects.In the fifth chapter,the author enumerates the positive influence of Tiktok on the development of new folk music,as well as the problems of new folk music in the development of Tiktok platform,and puts forward his own opinions.
