With the aging of China’s population, the health of middle-aged women has become one of the key topics of social concern.Middle age may not be a sensitive time to develop flexibility and balance, but getting it right is crucial for women heading into old age.Good flexibility and balance ability can enhance the flexibility, reaction and coordination of the body of middle-aged women to reduce the probability of sprain, fall, fall accidents.Dance training is an effective way to improve flexibility and balance ability.Rumba dance moves its steps by switching between supporting main legs.Certain body control is required during each movement or shift of center of gravity, and movement or modeling of supporting center of gravity with one leg often occurs during dance. In rumba, all parts of the body should be opposed and stretched accordingly, which can well promote the improvement of body balance and softness. In addition, some turns, turns, direction changes, rhythm and pace changes, crotch swing and rotation in rumba also play a certain role in strengthening the flexibility of the body.Rumba has moderate movement intensity, slow rhythm and graceful movements from easy to difficult, and has strong associations with other dances, suitable for middle-aged women who have not been exposed to rumba.Latin dance includes five dances, among which rumba is one of the basic dances to be learned in the beginning of Latin dance.Basic steps and single combination are usually the main learning content in the beginning of rumba dance. In this paper, experimental method as the main research method, selected 30middle-aged women in Xuanzhou District,Anhui Province who meet the experimental standards as the experimental research object, and these 30 subjects were randomly divided into two groups, rumba group I 15 people, rumba group II 15 people. The experiment lasted for 12 weeks. In order to make the study more rigorous, three tests were arranged before the experiment,6 weeks after the experiment and 12 weeks after the experiment.Participants in rumba group I received 12 weeks of solo bronze rumba intervention, and participants in Rumba group II received 6 weeks of solo bronze rumba and 6 weeks of advanced difficulty single silver rumba intervention.Participants in both groups received 60 minutes of intervention twice a week for 12 weeks.During the experiment, the subjects did not participate in any other forms of sports except physical exercise according to the experiment plan. The differences between the test indexes of flexibility and balance ability of middle-aged women after two different intervention programs were compared.Research results:(1)Before the experimental intervention, there was no significant difference in the indexes of flexibility and balance ability between Rumba group I and Rumba group II(P > 0.05),indicating that the flexibility and balance ability of the two groups were at the same level before the experiment.(2)After 6 weeks of single bronze Rumba intervention training, the test results of flexibility and balance ability of middle-aged women in Rumba group I and Rumba group II were not significantly different from those before 6 weeks of experiment, and the P values were greater than 0.05(P > 0.05).(3)After 12 weeks of single bronze Rumba intervention training, the test results of eyes closed and one foot standing of middle-aged women in Rumba group I were significantly different from those before 12 weeks of experiment,P value was 0.041(P < 0.05),but there was no significant difference between the test results of sitting body flexion, hands hooked back, eyes closed and standing and walking,P values were 0.052(P > 0.05),0.251(P > 0.05),0.066(P > 0.05)and 0.092(P > 0.05).(4)After 6 weeks of single bronze Rumba Dance and 6 weeks of silver Rumba Dance intervention training with advanced difficulty, there was a very significant difference in the test results of sitting forward flexion of middle-aged women in Rumba Dance Group II compared with those before 12 weeks of experiment,P value was 0.000(P < 0.01),and there was a significant difference in the test results of standing with eyes closed on one foot, standing in place with eyes closed, standing up and walking compared with those before 12 weeks of experiment,P values were0.018(P < 0.05),0.031(P < 0.05),0.036(P < 0.05),There was no significant difference between the back hook of both hands and that before 12 weeks of experiment, and the p value was 0.072(P > 0.05).Research conclusion:(1)6 weeks of single bronze Rumba training failed to effectively improve the flexibility and balance ability of middle-aged women.(2)12 week single bronze Rumba Dance training can effectively improve the static balance ability of middle-aged women, but it does not effectively promote the improvement of flexibility and dynamic balance ability of middle-aged women.(3)6 weeks of single bronze rumba and 6 weeks of advanced silver rumba training can effectively improve the flexibility of lumbar joint, hip joint, lower limb and dynamic and static balance ability of middle-aged women, but it has no effective promotion effect on the development of the flexibility of shoulder joint of upper limb.
