| Nowadays,China has gained more momentum in science and technology,contributing to the rapid improvement of scientific research technology,but there still exists a gap compared with developed countries.The learning from the advanced development concept and research results of UAVs in the United States will promote the development of China’s UAV research and development.The domestic demand for research materials in the field of drones is large,and the task of Chinese translation related to scientific and technical texts in the field of drones is even more serious.English and Chinese belong to different language families with many language differences,so the adoption of direct translation cannot accurately express the meaning of the original text,so Catford Translation Theory was chosen for the task.This paper takes Appendix A2,A3 and Part B of the U.S.UAV Roadmap FY2003 to FY2034 as translation materials,analyzes examples from many aspects,ranging from vocabulary,sentences to chapters under the guidance of translation transition theory,and explores the practical feasibility of Catford’s translation transition theory in English for shipbuilding engineering. |
