Research On Micro-blog Text Of Reports On The COVID-19 Pandemic

In the face of the global ravages of the COVID-19 pandemic,Chinese news media have used Wechat,Tik Tok,micro-blog and other internet platforms to create a multi-channel communication model and maximize the scope of information dissemination.As an influential platform for social dialogue,micro-blog plays an important role in news reporting and dissemination.Micro-blog news language has increasingly become an important category of applied linguistics research.As a public health emergency,the COVID-19 pandemic is characterized by abruptness,persistence,sprawl and impact,which requires timely and effective reporting.Therefore,overal the micro-blog text of reports on the COVID-19 is characterized by clear information points,concise and rigorous narrative,rich modal forms and close emotional connection.This thesis targets the COVID-19 related reports published by micro-blog news and information accounts from January 1,2020 to June 30,2021 as the research object,analyzes the structural characteristics,content characteristics,information function and generation mechanism of micro-blog epidemic news discourse,and adopts the research method of sampling survey.In order to ensure the unity of typicality and universality,a typical discourse sample is used to investigate linguistic phenomena.The thesis is divided into six parts.The first part introduces the background,current status,significance,theoretical basis,objects and methods of the research.The theoretical frameworks used in this thesis include intertextuality theory,information structure theory and discourse cohesion and coherence theory.The second part analyzes the text structure and information structure of the COVID-19micro-blog news text from the perspective of composition and information transmission.The sudden outbreak of COVID-19 requires clear information points in the structure of the report.The characteristics of the main components of the text are summarized and elaborated.From the perspective of information structure theory,this thesis analyzes the sentence information structure and discourse information structure of micro-blog reports,and explores the information component arrangement pattern and transmission mode of COVID-19 reports on micro-blog platform.The third part summarizes the content characteristics of the COVID-19 micro-blog news text,namely narrativity,conciseness and intertextuality.The persistence of COVID-19 requires concise and rigorous reporting.From the perspective of intertextuality theory,"source tag" and "quotations" are the most obvious and intuitive indicators of surface features of the micro-blog news text.The implicit correlation with other texts is reflected not only in quoting poems to express emotions,but also in mixing and blending different genre features to produce novel and unique forms of expression.The fourth part makes a detailed analysis of the information function of the COVID-19micro-blog news text.The sprawling nature of the COVID-19 pandemic requires a rich modality of discourse.The attributes of micro-blog public square and flexible release mechanism are the basis for realizing the function of timely information transmission.The multiple modes of micro-blog text meet the masses’ needs of obtaining abundant information.The fifth part mainly analyzes the generation mechanism of the COVID-19 micro-blog news text based on the theory of discourse cohesion and coherence.The impact of COVID-19 requires a close connection with readers’ emotions.Based on the corpus,this thesis expounds the specific cohesion of the text,and probes into the coherence of the text from the perspectives of semantics,pragmatics and cognition.The analysis of the generation status of the COVID-19 news text on micro-blog covers not only the basic features such as the proportion of part of speech,similar frequency of hot words and the standard use of punctuation marks,but also the generation trends such as the preference of local news accounts,guiding social public opinion and ideology.Finally,the sixth part is the conclusion and prospect.
