| Xiaohexi culture is an archeological culture of the middle Neolithic Age in western Liaoning,and also the earliest Neolithic culture seen in western Liaoning.It has been more than 30 years since the first identification of Xiaohexi culture.However,compared with the well-researched and more abundant Neolithic cultures such as Xinglongwa culture and Hongshan Culture in western Liaoning,the relevant excavation materials and research results are not very rich and slightly thin,and there are still great controversies in some aspects.Due to the few remains unearthed at many sites,they were wrongly identified as belonging to Xiaohexi culture in the research process.In addition,there is still a lack of comprehensive and comprehensive discussion on the age judgment and the division of regional types.Due to the lack of the support of the time frame,the research on environment and settlement is not deep enough in the micro research.Finally,the origin of Xiaohexi culture and its interaction with the archaeological culture of surrounding areas have not been studied.Based on the existing materials,this paper aims to redefine Xiaohexi culture,clarify its cultural connotation,and conduct a comprehensive analysis and research on the spatio-temporal framework,source and flow of Xiaohexi culture,settlement form and other aspects,so as to further deepen the understanding of the origin and change of the early Neolithic culture in western Liaoning.The thesis is mainly divided into six parts:The introduction explains the reason of writing this paper and the purpose of research,and introduces the related concepts of Xiaohexi culture.By reviewing the discovery and research process of Xiaohexi culture and combining with the latest archaeological materials,this paper explains the possible problems or shortcomings in the past research of Xiaohexi culture in the age,connotation,regional type,settlement and other issues,and proposes the necessity of further research of Xiaohexi culture.The first chapter is the definition of Xiaohexi culture.This chapter firstly starts from the typical sites of Xiaohexi culture under the academic consensus,and clarifies the characteristics of typical Xiaohexi culture.The cultural nature of Yushu Mountain,Xiliang and Yangjiawa sites was re-judged from the aspects of unearthed relics,settlement form and absolute age,correcting the previous wrong understanding of the cultural nature of these three sites and redefining the connotation of Xiaohexi culture.The second chapter is the regional classification and age of Xiaohexi culture.The content of this chapter mainly discusses the regional differences of Xiaohexi culture’s cultural features.Combining the existing research results on type classification and the latest field materials,it supplements and improves the regional type classification of Xiaohexi culture.According to the existing chronological framework,the characteristic of typical artifacts and the form of settlement are used as the standard to measure the development stage of different sites,and the relative age of diffe rent Xiaohexi culture types is judged,and it is clear that the difference between different regional types of Xiaohexi culture is not caused by the difference in time.The third chapter discusses the origin of Xiaohexi culture and its exchange and interaction with the surrounding culture.This chapter discusses the interaction between Xiaohexi culture and the Yu Min culture and the S idai culture in the central and southern part of Inner Mongolia,the S huangta Phase I culture in the Nenjiang River Basin,and the early Neolithic remains in the Bohai Rim,and discusses the origin of Xiaohexi culture.In addition,on the premise of making it clear that Xiaohexi culture eventually develops into Xinglong Wa culture,the paper discusses how to realize the transition between them and the relationship between Xinglong Wa culture and different types of Xiaohexi culture.The fourth chapter focuses on the settlement form of Xiaohexi culture.This chapter combined with the prehistoric natural geographical environment of western Liaoning in the Xiaohexi Culture period,and analyzed the settlement form of Xiaohexi culture from three different levels:"family","settlement" and"region".At the household level,the paper summarizes the morphological characteristics of Xiaohexi cultural settlement observed in the settlement study,and uses the Zhahai site F26 as an example to divide the functional areas.On the single settlement level,this paper summarizes the settlement characteristics of Xiaohexi culture from the typical sites of Xiaohexi culture,and analyzes the social organization structure reflected by it.At the regional level,it points out that the distribution of Xiaohexi cultural settlements is the result of the comprehensive action of natural geographic factors and cultural factors.The conclusion summarizes the main contents and viewpoints of this paper,and puts forward the prospect of future research on Xiaohexi culture. |
