As one of the most diverse performances in musical,the group dance not only As one of the most dynamic and varied dance forms on the musical stage,ensemble dance not only serves to depict the plot,establish character relationships,drive the storyline forward,and regulate stage rhythm,but it also satisfies the audience’s aesthetic demands for musical productions.This dissertation is based on a comprehensive and thorough examination of excellent ensemble dance performances in musicals and related narrative research literature,combined with a practical perspective of musical dance direction.The content of the paper is divided into three chapters,which explore in depth the narrativity of ensemble dance in musicals and its creative strategies.Chapter one primarily explains the concepts of ensemble dance in musicals and narrativity,revealing the profound significance of narrativity for ensemble dance and its influence in the creative process.Understanding and mastering these two concepts constitute the foundation of theoretical research and are prerequisites for subsequent empirical research.Chapter two delves into the structure of narrative creative techniques in ensemble dance,dissecting it into"narrative vocabulary of ensemble dance" and "narrative coordination of ensemble dance".This chapter details from multiple perspectives,including its basic characteristics,functional categories,and creative thinking,exposing the micro-operation mechanism of narrative creation in ensemble dance,thus enriching the theory of ensemble dance creation in musicals.Chapter three adheres to the research philosophy of integrating theory with practice.Through the author’s creative practice of ensemble dance in the original musical "One Day",using the "narrative vocabulary" and "narrative coordination" of ensemble dance,the validity and feasibility of narrative creation techniques in ensemble dance are further validated and confirmed.This empirical research in this chapter aims to provide some referential for China’s original musical. |
