A Report On C-E Translation Of Out Of Line(Excerpt) Under The Guidance Of CEA Framework

This is a translation practice report on the translation of Chapter one Good Brothers of Out of Line,which demonstrates the translator’s reflection and summary for the translation practice.This report is guided by "CEA" framework proposed by Li Changshuan to analyze the problems encountered in the translation practice.According to it,the translator should understand the source text comprehensively and accurately,including words,sentences and texts.In terms of expression,the translator should reproduce the meaning that the author of the source text hopes to express and should express,and then analyze the problems of sentence style retention,cohesion.In terms of adaptation,on the basis of being faithful to the original text,the translator adopts proper strategies to make some adaptations,such as amplification,omission and conversion of parts of speech to realize the effective transference of information.This translation practice report is divided into frve parts.The first chapter is the description of the translation task,which mainly introduces the sources text and stylistic features,and the significance of the translation practice.The second chapter briefly describes the procedures in the translation process,including pre-translation,while-translation and post-translation.The third chapter presents studies on the details of "Comprehension,Expression and Adaptation" and briefly explains the feasibility of this framework to guide the translation of novels.The fourth chapter analyzes the translation cases from the three dimensions of CEA framework.The fifth chapter is the conclusion of translation practice.In the end,the translator believes that CEA framework runs through the whole process of this translation process,and it is essential for translation.She hoped that this translation practice can provide some reference for the translation of literary texts,and attract more people’s attention to CEA framework.
