Since ancient times,the style of thick burial in China has prevailed,and the art and culture of ancient Chinese murals have a long history.The content and subject matter of the tomb murals in the Tang Dynasty are very rich,which is worthy of continuous exploration and research by future generations.As the language of painting,color is an important medium to convey information.Compared with the realistic color view in Western murals,the colors in the murals of Tang tombs are mostly subjective artistic and philosophical.Although the ancient social conditions and people’s cognition are limited,and the pigments are not as rich as today’s,they can still express emotional concepts and beliefs,and show the social hierarchy and the aesthetic style of the times.Therefore,with the in-depth archaeological excavation of Tang tomb murals,based on the symbolic and connotation of color in a specific cultural context,it provides a theoretical basis for exploring the color system of Tang tomb murals.The tomb of Prince Yide in the Tang Dynasty is the highest in the excavation of the tomb of Prince Tang in terms of the shape and structure of the tomb and the scale of the tomb.According to statistics,the area of exquisite murals drawn in his tomb is 400 square meters.At present,more than 40 murals are well preserved,and the value of artistic research is extremely high.Compared with other Tang tombs of the same period,the murals of Prince Yide ’s tomb are magnificent and large in scale.They pay attention to the overall sense and light and shade changes of the objects,with thick and heavy ink descriptions and light elegance.The line is exquisite,the color matching is harmonious,the pigment is rich in variety,and the color setting techniques are diverse;the characters in the murals are exquisite and are the representative works in the murals of Tang tombs.Today ’s archaeological excavations and the murals of Prince Yide ’s tomb preserved in the Shaanxi History Museum provide an entity basis for studying the color language of its murals.The main research content of this paper is divided into six chapters.The general content can be summarized as follows:The first and second chapters mainly elaborate the research status,purpose,significance and methods of this paper.And explore the archaeological basis of the color language of the murals of Prince Yide’s tomb,mainly including the excavation of the murals of the Tang tomb,the color language,the classification of pigments,and the shape and particularity of Prince Yide’s tomb.The third chapter is a detailed analysis of the color language of the tomb murals of Prince Yide,including the composition of the paint on the tomb murals,the color of the ground and the base,and the color techniques.And introduced representative mural pictures of Han Dynasty tombs,and use the color contrast theory to explore the characteristics of the overall color language of the tomb murals of Prince Yide.Finally,the reasons for the selection of local colors are discussed,including the influence of traditional hierarchy,religious beliefs and participants in mural painting.The fourth chapter compares the color of the murals of Prince Yide’s tomb with other tomb murals of the same period,as well as the influence on the painting of the later dynasties,the tomb murals in the surrounding areas and the modern meticulous paintings.The fifth chapter discusses in detail the combination of learning from the color of Prince Yide’s tomb murals and self-practice creation,and makes some thoughts on the theory of color language.The whole chapter shows the practice of creating ’Tang Vientiane’ step by step,including topic selection,finalization,creation,overall and local color presupposition,painting and summary.The theme of this creation is the bustling scene of Chang’an City with the Silk Road trade in Tang Dynasty.Combined with some cultural elements of Xi’an today,dream back to the millennium,reproduce the glorious history of the Tang Dynasty,showing the prosperity of Chang ’an City.The picture covers the representative characters,stories and buildings of the Tang Dynasty.The tomb of Prince Yide represents a model of aristocratic tombs in the Tang Dynasty.The content and color of the murals are the full embodiment of the aristocratic art and culture at that time.Therefore,combined with the color of its murals,it is most appropriate to reproduce the glory of the Tang Dynasty in this creation.Finally,the sixth chapter is the summary of the full text. |
