A Report On The C-E Translation Of Commentary Of Goji’s Cultural Museum In Ningxia Under The Guidance Of Semantic Translation And Communicative Translation Theory

This is a practical report on C-E translation.Using the translation of Commentary of Goji’s Culture Museum in Ningxia,which is publicly available at the Culture Museum in Ningxia as a practical task,the author applied semantic translation and communicative translation theory as guidance to introduce the translation process and analyzed the challenges and difficulties in translating the commentary.This translation practice report is divided into five parts,including the description of the translation task,process of translation,literature review,case analysis,and the conclusion.Among them,the fourth chapter,case analysis,is the core of this report.The author proposed corresponding translation methods based on the characteristics of informational text.At lexical level,the author used transliteration and paraphrase according to different types of lexicons,fully conveying the cultural characteristics of the source text.At syntactic level,the author used reproduction,reversion and omission methods to enhance readability.At textual level,the author utilized methods such as addition of linking words,omission,and paraphrase based on implicit logic connectors and redundant context to highlight the theme and clarify the logic of the translated text.This translation practice provides guidance and reference for the translation of informational text and can further enhance translation effectiveness.
