Myth,as one of the earliest mental creation forms of primitive human beings,is the origin of many disciplines such as religion,philosophy,literature,art and so on.Chinese mythology represents the great spirit of the Chinese nation to strive for self-improvement and progress.Since the myth was recorded,scholars of all dynasties have carried out the practice of rewriting the myth by misappropriating and reconstructing it.Due to the development of new media such as the Internet,myth restatement has appeared in various fields such as film and television works,online literature works,online games,and online jokes.The phenomenon of myth restatement has become one of the focuses of scholars.From the analysis and definition of mythologism by the former Soviet mythologist Merekinsky to the emphasis of YeShuxian’s neo-mythologism on the cultural roots and the return and revival of traditional myths,the neo-mythologism can provide an important perspective of meaning interpretation for the study of myth restatement.At present,the study of myth restatement in the academic field also often cuts into the analysis of writers’ works from the perspective of neo-mythologism.However,in terms of the existing research view,there is a neglect of the network literature and romantic works with huge volume and wide influence,and the research on the future development of myth retelling is not deep enough.Therefore,taking the series novels of " Shan Jing Hai Ji" in Tonghua as a case,we can investigate the construction and acceptance of mythological retelling texts in online literature and romantic works.Taking the perspective of new mythology as the starting point,with the help of interviews and questionnaires,we will deeply explore the significance of myth restatement.At the same time,in the interpretation of the meaning of the myth restatement,the paper discusses the problem of grasping the distance between the myth and the restated text and the possible path of the creative transformation of the myth restatement resources in the contemporary era.Tonghua,as a well-known writer in the field of contemporary Chinese romantic novels,has created a series of novels "Once promised" and "everlasting longing for each other" in order to carry forward the spirit of the Chinese nation and inherit the excellent traditional culture of China.Based on "Shan Hai Jing",Tonghua has built a magnificent background in ancient times,used the motif of marriage and death to promote the development of the story,rewrote the battle between the Yellow Emperor and Chiyou and Zhuan Xu,and connected the whole novel,It is a typical contemporary myth retelling works.Because the novel satisfies the readers’psychology of compensation and seeking knowledge,it has a fairly high acceptance.While reconstructing the myth,the distance between the novel and the original mythological texts such as The Book of Mountains and Seas is appropriate,reflecting the awakening of women’s self-consciousness,and emphasizing the connotation of establishing the self-confidence of the Chinese culture and constructing the spiritual utopia.The future of myth restatement needs to reflect on how to keep a proper distance between the text of myth restatement and the original myth.It can not only play the role of myth in the construction of the text,maximize the benefits of myth dissemination,but also effectively transform the myth resources and form the recognition of Chinese culture.
