Abstract/Summary:
Franz Schubert(1797-1828)was a great Austrian composer in the 19 th century.He has created countless masterpieces in his life,and more than a thousand works have been handed down in the world.His works are not only exquisite,but also have distinct personality and rustic folk customs.In particular,he rejuvenates ancient German art songs,integrates poetry,melody and accompaniment,and makes art songs of high artistic value and is known as the "King of Art Songs".Franz Liszt(1811-1886),Hungarian pianist and composer.His performance is extremely free,exaggerated and wildly romantic,which has developed piano art to an unprecedented level.His works are vast,not only numerous but also rich in genre.Liszt was deeply attracted by Schubert’s music.He wrote 58 piano arrangement based on Schubert’s art songs and used them as common tracks played in concerts at that time,which played an important role in the dissemination of Schubert’s art songs.This article takes 12 of the Schubert art songs adapted by Lister as the research object,and expounds its creative motivation,creative characteristics and analysis in detail.In addition to the research of the work,the causes and genre characteristics of Liszt’s adaptation are also analyzed.Through these studies,it answers the reasons why Liszt is keen to adapt Schubert’s art songs and why he made these twelve tracks into a set.At the same time,these twelve adapted songs were studied as performance tracks.
