With the development of information technology and new media,micro-video has encouraged the spread of information.The micro-video series of The Feel of China,dubbed into English and subtitled in English and Chinese,which mainly introduces culture symbols with Chinese characteristics to foreigners.This thesis is based on the text of first 180 micro-videos of The Feel of China and there are 96725 words in all.Taking the move structure in advertisements in genre analysis as the theoretical framework to analyze the text from the perspective of lexical features,sentence pattern and move structure.It is found that the micro-video series of The Feel of China is characterized by the use of some vocabulary such as personal pronouns,modal verbs,nouns and adjectives.It also has some specific sentence pattern such as rhetorical question,existential sentence and comparative construction.In addition,there are 10 moves in the micro-video series of The Feel of China.Move1: Lead-in of the topic;Move2: brief introduction;Move3: Talking about the history;Move4: Detailing characteristics;Move5: Giving examples;Move6: The process of development;Move7:Introducing relevant things;Move8: The situation today;Move9: Quoting the authority;Move10: Expressing feelings.The move structure in The Feel of China has many similarities to that in advertisements and there are also some differences due to crosscultural nature of The Feel of China.The utilization of these resources could be helpful for the communicative purpose of disseminating Chinese culture.This thesis could provide more information for the writers who construct materials for culture transmission and it is also complementary to the study of genre analysis.
