| Lau Shaw’s novel "The Rickshaw Boy" has been adapted into various art forms,and the National Center for the Performing Arts opera version is undoubtedly one of the most anticipated.The play had its world premiere in 2014,the 115 th anniversary of Mr.Lau Shaw’s birthday.The original works depict Xiang Zi,Hu Niu and Xiao Fuzi in a realistic and compassionate way.When writing the opera version of "The Rickshaw Boy",it not only does not deviate from the original work,but also makes careful treatment in the shaping of the plot and characters,which makes the drama conflict more tense and provides a broader space for the music and performance of many characters.As the second female,Xiao Fuzi is one of the main characters in the plot development.Based on a brief analysis of the music related to Xiao Fuzi in the opera "The Rickshaw Boy",this paper analyzes concretely the shaping of the character image and the composition of the connection between the characters,including Xiao Fuzi and Xiang Zi,her father and Hu Niu.The author takes Xiao Fuzi’s aria Xiao Fuzi as the breakthrough point,and deeply excavates the space of musical language expression and artistic expression of Xiao Fuz in the opera,and grases the character image of Xiao Fuzi by combing the relationship between Xiao Fuzi and other characters.The author discusses the application of relevant passages in vocal music singing from the aspects of timbre grasp,force control,breath support,enunciation and pronunciation,affective expression,with a view to providing some references for the current vocal singing and vocal teaching. |
