| Cyberbullying is becoming more and more frequent in the electronic information age and has become the focus of society now,but the network has the characteristics of anonymity and infinity, making the negative impact of cyberbullying more and more extensive, how to help bullied and reduce the occurrence of cyberbullying is worth exploring.Based on the multiple motivation model and sociometric theory, this study explores the effects of social exclusion and self-esteem on the willingness and actual behavior of cyberbullying bystanders to prosocial behavior.Pilot study: objective: to verify the priming mode of social exclusion in text material priming tasks; To examine whether there is a relationship between social exclusion and willingness to engage in pro social behavior from the perspective of online bullying bystanders.A single factor experimental design was used to investigate 50 subjects using online bullying event materials and college students’ altruistic online behavior questionnaire. The results showed that:(1)The priming method of text materials can successfully activate the subjects’ perception of social exclusion.(2)Subjects in the social exclusion group showed lower willingness to engage in prosocial behavior when faced with online bullying.Study 1: the purpose is to explore the impact of social exclusion and trait self-esteem on the prosocial behavior willingness and actual prosocial behavior of online bullying bystanders.Adoption 2(exclusion condition: exclusion&acceptance)× 2(Trait self-esteem:high&low)inter subject design.260 subjects were tested using the Trait Self-esteem Questionnaire,Social Exclusion Text Initiation,Online Bullying Event Materials,Online Behavioral Altruism Questionnaire, and Prosocial Behavior Record. The results show that:(1)Social exclusion and trait self-esteem have a significant impact on the prosocial behavior(behavioral willingness and actual behavior)of online bullying bystanders.Among them, the scores of prosocial behavior of socially excluded online bullying bystanders are significantly lower than social acceptance, while the scores of prosocial behavior of high trait self-esteem online bullying bystanders are significantly higher than those of low trait self-esteem;(2)Online bullying bystanders with high trait self-esteem can increase the willingness to pro social behavior caused by social exclusion, but the interaction between the two on actual behavior is not significant. The second study is to explore the impact of social exclusion and state self-esteem on the prosocial behavior willingness and actual prosocial behavior of online bullying bystanders.Adoption 2(social conditions: exclusion&acceptance)× 2(State self-esteem:high&low)inter subject design.Based on Study 1,the trait self-esteem questionnaire was replaced with a state self-esteem recall paradigm, while other experimental paradigms remained unchanged.145 subjects were tested. The results show that:(1)Social exclusion has a significant impact on behavioral willingness, while state self-esteem has no significant impact on it.State self-esteem has a significant impact on actual behavior, while social exclusion has no significant impact on it.(2)Low self-esteem online bullying of bystanders can increase the actual prosocial behavior caused by social exclusion.Conclusion:(1)Social exclusion reduces the prosocial behavior willingness of online bullying bystanders.(2)High trait self-esteem increases the prosocial behavior willingness and actual behavior of online bullying bystanders, and social exclusion and trait self-esteem interact with the prosocial behavior willingness of online bullying bystanders.(3)High state self-esteem reduces the prosocial actual behavior of online bullying bystanders, and social exclusion and state self-esteem interact with the prosocial actual behavior of online bullying bystanders. |
