Valentin Serov’s oil paintings are mainly portraits,and he has a unique artistic style.With his solid painting foundation,rigorous composition and rich painting techniques,he became the backbone of the "traveling exhibition school".The most important feature of his portraits is their vividness,and most of them are based on the theme of daily life,expressing his inner creative emotions in a unique language,and forming a spiritual resonance with the viewer.He was also called a "leading innovator",and his oil paintings,especially portraits,had a profound influence on many artistic trends that emerged afterwards.This paper is divided into three parts:the first part is to systematically review and analyze the formation of Cheroff’s oil painting style,and briefly elaborate on the background of Cheroff’s creation and the artistic pursuit of his creation;the second part is to further analyze Cheroff’s paintings,focusing on the composition,color,technique and emotional expression in Cheroffs oil paintings,which can not only improve the painting technique of portrait painting,but also study the application of Cheroff’s painting technique to his own creation.The third part will apply the theoretical knowledge to the creative practice,absorb and learn from the characteristics of Cherokh’s paintings and integrate them into the author’s creation,as learners can also understand how to integrate the painting techniques with the emotions in the creation process,and constantly improve their perception of the picture,and only under the integration of techniques and emotions can they The learner is also able to understand how to integrate the technique of painting with the emotion of the creative process,and to continuously improve his perception of the picture.
