Abstract/Summary:
China has entered a new stage of development,solving practical problems in our country must hold on scientific world outlook and methodology.“Opening up new realm in adapting Marxism to conditions in China” is the major strategic task for the Party to promote high-quality development in the new era.Moreover,it is also the expectation of Chinese people for a better life at this stage.Marx’ s concept of freedom has the same origin as Marxism.Deeply learn some problems about Marx’ s concept of freedom is so key for stabilizing the Marxism’s foundation which in ideological field of socialism with Chinese characteristics and continuously stimulating the vitality and creativity of the people.The paper is divided into five chapters.The first chapter is the introduction which focuses on the background of the selected topic and the significance of the study,the current situation of domestic and foreign research,the research idea and methods of the main research questions,as well as the key points and difficulties in the study.The second chapter is the conditions of the emergence of Marx’ s concept of freedom.On the one hand,the emergence of Marx’ s concept of freedom is driven by economic state of the Europe,Germanic political environment,violent contradiction between the bourgeoisie and the proletariat and workers movement in many cities.On the other hand,Marx based on the problem oriented to criticize and inherit the thought of his predecessors and produce special theory.The third chapter is the logical evolution of Marx’s inquiry into “freedom”.According to the analysis of Marx’s related works,Marx’ s concept of freedom has gone through three stages: germination,development and maturity,in which there have been three ideological turns.From the completion of the “Doctoral Thesis” to the working period in “Rheinische Zeitung”,Marx’ s concept of freedom from a focus on individual freedom based on discernment to a focus on the real rights of freedom of the toiling masses.It marks germination of Marx’ s concept of freedom.In the “Introduction to the HEGELSCHEN PHILOSOPHIE” and the “Economic and Philosophic Manuscripts of 1844”,Marx argues that only the proletariat can achieve the free emancipation of all mankind and communism is the necessary stage for the free and comprehensive development of man.In these regards,marking development of Marx’ s concept of freedom.In the process of writing “Die Deutsche Ideology”,Marx created “materialist conception of history” and established in the process of social-historical development to explore the question of human freedom in practical activity.The advent of “Capital” and practical application of “surplus value theory”marked maturity of Marx’s view of freedom.Chapter 4 is the basic content of Marx’ s concept of freedom.Marx’ s concept of freedom treats the “real individual” as a practical subject.Under the category of “free association of persons”,it mainly realizes three dimensions of freedom: spiritual will,practical activity and personality development.The essence of the concept is to achieve the full restoration of the essential power of human beings and the realistic goal is to realize the free and comprehensive development of human beings.Chapter 5 is the contemporary value of Marx’ s concept of freedom.It is mainly explained from two aspects: theoretical value and practical significance.The theoretical value of Marx’ s concept of freedom cannot be ignored and it is mainly the critique and inheritance of the freedom ideas of his predecessors,which is a foundation for several modern schools of thought on freedom.In the background of the development of socialism with Chinese characteristics,Marx’ s concept of freedom ensures the right of Marxist discourse in the ideological field,constitutes freedom thought with Chinese characteristics in the new era,as well as satisfies the growing spiritual and cultural needs of the people.It further promotes high-quality development for our Party and it is the theoretical guide of socialist culture with Chinese characteristics.
