In broad literary texts such as novels,poems,or videos,various forms of memory reappear as their content.This empirical fact raises the following question: What is memory? In what form does it exist? What is the relationship between literature and memory? The title of this essay,"Poetic Memory",describes a way of literary expression of memory,which focuses on the understanding and interpretation of literature from the perspective of memory.Regarding the ontology of memory,since the beginning of the twentieth century,related theoretical research has arisen and led to its essence in different ways.The main structure of this paper is the three parts of Vipassana individual memory,appearance cultural memory,forgetting and memory,and each chapter explains the relevant theoretical connotations,and conducts in-depth theoretical thinking in all directions,on the basis of which the relationship between various memory forms and literature is discussed,supplemented by the interpretation of specific literary works.As soon as the two ideas are met,memory becomes the content of literature and exists in literature;Literature in turn acts as a metaphor,form,and medium of memory,which expresses and presents each other.Then,along with the continued thinking about forgetting,the problem of memory becomes more complex and profound,while literature is more naturally related to remembering because of its emotional nature,and power seems to be more concerned with forgetting.Finally,poetic memory and forgetting,which call upon literary responsibility and human conscience. |
