| The translated material is from the third chapter(“Children’s Interests—Debates,Tensions, and Possibilities in Practice and Policy”)in Children’s Interests,Inquiries and Identities. This collection of essays deals with interdisciplinary content in pedagogy and psychology. It is mainly about the development of children’s interest research and its manifestation in policy under different countries and cultural backgrounds, which has considerable academic research and application value. In the process of translation, the translator analyzed and discussed some typical cases.Firstly,at the lexical level, the translator employed the method of conversion, contextual analysis and lexical extension in the translation of abstract words.Secondly, the compound sentences were translated with the method of inversion, splitting and reorganizing and voice transformation. Finally,in order to achieve cohesion, the translator adopted the strategies of amplification and pronoun reduction. This practice aims to provide references for scholars studying educational translation and contribute to the development of preschool education. |
