Tang Yijie is a famous historian of contemporary Chinese philosophy.Throughout his academic career,he has always been committed to reviving traditional Chinese culture, paying particular attention to the Confucian part of traditional culture, and has made outstanding achievements in this field.Based on the background of the times and the development needs of Chinese culture,Tang Yijie constructed a cultural philosophy system composed of the theory of cultural evolution and resultant force, the theory of cultural two-way selection, and the theory of cultural pluralism coexistence. He proposed the practical issues of the third phase of the development of Confucianism, and took the two as the background and premise. While inheriting the academic tradition and mission of the new Confucianism,he also launched a systematic theoretical interpretation for the modernization of Confucianism, establishing a "unity of heaven and man" A Confucian system based on the three "oneness" of "unity of knowledge and action" and "unity of situation",with universal harmony, internal transcendence, and internal sainthood and external kingliness as its core. This article will explain the theoretical background and problem consciousness of Tang Yijie’s Confucianism, sort out and analyze the specific content of his thoughts,in order to more comprehensively understand and understand the theoretical context of Tang Yijie’s Confucianism.Due to the important role of his theory in connecting the past and the future, studying his Confucianism can not only enrich the contemporary Confucianism system, but also summarize the gains and losses of the development of modern Chinese philosophy.
