In the Meiji era,Natsume Soseki was a famous writer,who not only wrote world-renowned novels such as “I Am a Cat”,“KOKORO” and so on,but also made outstanding achievements in literary theory.Soseki’s “The Theory of Literature”interpreted literature beyond the schools,which is a very innovative literary and theoretical work.Soseki has received Sinology education since childhood and likes to read Chinese classics,his cultural heritage,literary creation and literary theory have profound Chinese cultural imprint.This paper will study Soseki’s literary theory as the object of comparative research to explore the influence of Chinese culture on his literary theory by analyzing the origin of Sinology and its acceptance of traditional Chinese culture.Besides the introduction and conclusion,this paper is divided into three chapters:The first chapter explores the literary prototype based on the influence of Sinology.This chapter first understands the Sinology origin of Soseki by examining the Sinology background of the Meiji era and the Sinology learning history of mouseki.On this basis,it can be clear that Soseki’s initial understanding of literature and his literary view based on the thought of "self-standard".The second chapter is the study of the influence of ancient Chinese literary theory on The Literature.Literature is not only based on the thought of "self-standard",but also has literary theories closely related to ancient Chinese literary theory.It can reflect the soseki’s recognition and acceptance of Chinese culture.This chapter focuses on the theoretical views in Literature,and mainly explores the deep connection between the(F+ f)formula and the concepts of "feeling objects" and "making love" in ancient Chinese literary theory,"Casting rhetoric","input rhetoric","the association method of objects" and "harmonic method" are influenced by the influence of ancient Chinese poetics theory,and Soseki’s attention to readers and the correlation between "removal" and the theory of ancient Chinese literature appreciation.The third chapter discusses the influence of Confucianism and Taoism on Soseki ’s literary view.The early literary view of Soseki has the color of "being loyal to the king and loving the country,and actively entering the world".At the same time,Soseki also absorbed the concept of "conforming to nature" from Taoism and applied it to the creation technique of the article.After “The Theory of Literature”,Soseki’s literary activities have been mainly focused on novel creation,but he did not give up the exploration of literary theory.The "unhuman" and "unprivate" proposed by Soseki have a deep connection with Taoist thought.This chapter analyzes mouseki’s early literary view,the concept of "unhuman" and the thought of "private",and explores the maturity process of mouseki’s literary view under the influence of Confucianism and Taoism.
